Mmmm no. Latins are an actual people from modern day Italy and they are WHITE. The Latin’s biggest city state was Rome which ended up conquering all other Latin people, a huge swath of Europe and North Africa. These people conquered the ancestors of the “Spanish” and forced them to speak Latin and practice Catholicism.
A thousand years later these “Spanish” people ended up conquering the west while also bringing Africans over and forced all them to be Catholics and speak Spanish. Latin people are not mixed with no damn Native Americans. There are some Native Americans who got conquered by Latin descendants and now they are mixed race but to say Latin = anything other than White European is wrong.
Yup, when you say Latins, people are gonna think you're talking about Rome or the Italic tribes
Thats when the Latino and Latina distinction comes in which signifies "new world".. Same with Hispanics. True Spaniards are not Hispanic.. They are Iberian/Celt/Visigoth/Italic/mixed, generally European with Moor and Arab blood in them possibly.
