:banderas::ohlawd: One of my favorite songs and videos of all time any genre.

Bilal isn't underrated at all.

He's actually one of the most respected vocalists of his time, he's just not an industry artist and never chased mainstream success.

Word
He underrated when u compare him to a Maxwell or D'angelo
He had a bit of mainstream success with Fast lane but then after the label shelved his 2nd album he lost some steam
He's respected among his peers and other artists obviously cause he's always featuring on a lot of artists' songs but he ain't never quite achieved that mainstream success he had with Fast Lane
Tho, he's an artist's artist and an independent artist and being independent vs on a major label is a different ball game

Ok, I get what you're saying.

IMO, vocally, D and Max can't touch him, but you're right, to the average fan, they'll probably rank those two higher.

If I'm not mistaken, breh is a classically trained opera singer too.

Fast Lane was the shyt, but I really don't think he was ever shooting to be a mainstream star.

He's a musician first and foremost.

That first album was something else..

:wow:
