I don't know what it is but the Vietnam war is so much more stylistic on film than any other war. Maybe its because of the music of the era but im not sure.
I think it's the jungle aspect just makes it look great.
All the green vines and grass, then you got the contrast of the red sunsets and orange fire and the smoke.
It just looks dope on the color pallet IMO
Where as WW2 and all the middle east stuff is usually a brownish lookin color.
Also you usually get some sort of ethnic diversity

but the fact everybody always sweatin kinda creates a great atmosphere.
