spike lee has like 4 good films though…. this 4 are pretty special though. Do The RIght Thing is perfect as far as i am concerned. 25th hour has started to pick up esteem in recent years. havent seen Malcolm X in a minute but that shyt was a bit tooooo literal for my tastes but it works as far as time spanning epics go. and Inside Man showed he could do studio genre fare.

Kubrick,hands down. Its not even close.
kubrick has classics in horror, war , scifi, history, crime. He's like one of the best directors ever. Just look at a space odyssey... you won't believe that that film is made in 1968. FOH comparing him to spike lee
