It's not slavery or Jim Crow alone that continue to create the conditions.
As I said you aren't concerned with a real conversation about real solutions. Only pointing fingers at black faces.
The movie is a conversation or commentary on the issue. Or at least it's supposed to be.again, what is a "conversation" going to do at this point? a conversation about what!? serious questions here man i'm not trying to argue...
in fact, spike is talking about his MOVIE, what movie can be made to get to the root of what happened in chicago to make it this way? what would it consist of?
and a movie that could reach the nikkas in the streets - CHIRAQ will be seen by those cats in the streets squeezing triggers, i don't really think a lot of people in chicago watched THE INTERRUPTERS which won all types of awards...
BLM was basically created to combat mistreatment black victims of police brutality/vigilantism in the justice system. Really surprised spike would be one of those who are ignorant of what BLM is trying to achieve.
This shows us the youths can only count on ourselves, the older heads never cared or talked about black on black crime or police corruption before.
Now they are talking all this nonsense about black on black crime needs to be addressed. Spike Lee had plenty of time to talk about black on black crime.
This is why the youths will never have faith in the older generation, they won't give any guidance and the minute we find our own answers they want to criticize instead of help.
