If they got the rights from Sony and this is a joint project why not have Peter Parker not be Spider-Man in this. Set in the same universe but no spiderman??? unless they just lying to people and trying to keep the plot under wraps. Amazon doesn't strike me as stupid... they not spending a grip for a live action spiderman show with no spiderman...

I mean in the multiverse movie where he introduced himself I could have sworn have a different name than the other peters... so of course with this Amazon can tweak the spiderman rules about the violence on this show. Just a possibility. All I know is that in the noir universe this spiderman was very grizzled and violent... had a gun and everything....

not having this spider-man be Peter Parker helps more than hurts
