Man i understand why they did it, but i REALLY wish insomniac captured how some black new yorkers REALLY talk.

Miles from NYC and aint told one villian he "dead ass" yet.

Aint called Pete "son" yet.

The most "New York" thing about the game was Miles had on Timbz. I get it's a Teen rated game but there was seriously no sort of "New York" slang in the game. shyt felt mad sterile.

I bet you had they made Miles sound a bit more hood cacs would actually dictate that they're offended at how they're portraying black people in games.

Copped it today. Great so far.
Started in Fidelity Mode: :ehh:
Switched to Performance Mode: :krs::gladbron::damn:

Performance Mode is a HUGE difference. It's so smooth. Swinging through the city looks like more than 60 frames somehow. It's THAT smooth. I don't think YouTube does it justice or translates how smooth this game is. And i'm use to 60-120 fps since i game on PC, and have a 120Hz tv:wow:
To add upon what i said. They should give an option to auto switch cutscenes to Fidelity. Then back to performance for gameplay. I know the session has to be restarted for texture changes to be applied. But i wouldn't mind waiting a few seconds for it. The SSD is so fast a few seconds over instant gameplay to cutscene transitioning wouldn't hurt :manny:

Is this game's representation of Miles any different from the comic's though?
As far as his personality, it's not far off. The only real difference between this game's characterization of Miles and the comics is that, in this game Miles is deeply into science, in the comics, Miles is just a regular dude w/ regular interests.

I do wish the way fights unfold was more varied.

ya...I was less critical of this in the last game bcuz it was a long time since we’d been blessed with a really good superhero game plus spidey is my favorite comic book character so I was more so lenient...this time around I’m way more critical of the fights...some ppl already criticized it in the first game and they were right to do so in hindsight...you’re literally fighting the same exact fight the entire game and it’s boring...I love the writing/story but again they really need to switch shyt up for the next game...I wanted to complete everything but at this point I’m just going to progress thru the main story...I’m bored with stopping burglars...chasing cars and fighting the same enemy types when I attack bases...the storyline involving phin and miles’ uncle are the only compelling parts of the game this time around

The only part of Miles that felt more like a chore was the sound sample missions.

lol...I started that mission and abandoned it damn near immediately...I’ve ran around the city completing every other side mission/challenge to avoid this shyt...but now I’m done and I’m eventually have to do this mission :beli:

Just realized your suit actually gets battle damage. It becomes more noticeable the further your health drops. I got cocky during one of the Underground Hideouts and got taken down to a fraction of health. The Bodega Cat Suit was borderline destroyed and had Miles looking like Goku when he was 12 episodes in vs Frieza. Shame it goes back to regular in the photo mode.
