Great movie. But some Black American erasure was present.

In the comics and the first movie it’s canon that his father is officer Davis.

Jefferson Davis is his black American fathers name.

In this movie he is officer morales? I didn’t understand that.

I think they said he changed his name because the last name Davis was basically synonomous with crime in Brooklyn, kinda like if his last name was Gambino. Kinda but he is still Black American.

SCJoe was a little off - Davis in the Spider-Man universe specifically was associated with crime in Brooklyn because Jeff and Aaron used to be in the streets when they were younger and got in a lot of trouble, so he took his wife's last name to run away from the stigma and didn't want Miles to have it either

We still have one more shot with Beyond for these characters to show up though.
