This is great. It made me watch the first one afterwards. They improved on the already great animation from the first movie. I enjoyed Miles and his family the most in this film. Their relationship seemed real.
The only negative is that I wanted more. The ending was a satisfying ending point for me. There's a lot of connections to the QST movie that I wouldn't have noticed unless I watched it again. I hope the 3rd one is as good as the first 2.
I'm not sure if someone in here already said this but I took Miguel's speech about Miles being the first anomaly a completely different way. The character was inspired by Donald Glover wanting to play Spider-Man in what became the Garfield Spider-Man movies. I took the speech like it was coming from every internet moron that complains about race swapping or new race characters replacing legacy characters, in movies or comics. Before that Miles mom told him people are going to say he doesn't belong but he does and when he got back home he talks to her and said that she was right. All of that was great.

The canon conversation and how Miguel was trying to say it can't be broken were direct shots at the crazy fans who go berserk over any changes. Brilliant meta commentary
I noticed something while watching this movie again. Miles saw how Miguel was "wall crawling" with claws, trying to stop him. He even asked him "are you even Spider-Man?"
Funny how he tried to call Miles a mistake when he's not really a Spider person his damn self.
EDIT: Another thing I have noticed is that Miguel doesn't have Spider senses like everyone else. Who the actual fukk made him the leader of the Spider Society?
I always felt Miguel is a fraud and killed the REAL Miguel to take over his family. If you rewatch the part where Miguel was talking about taking over the doppleganger's family because he was killed, he never explained what happened to his OWN family if he ever had one. He claimed he's guilty of breaking the canon, but HOW exactly? Was the other Miguel SUPPOSED TO DIE? What exactly the reason the so-called canon was broken? I think it's because he killed the other Miguel and that's what broke canon.
