Spider-Man 3 to Introduce Kraven with a Big Black Panther Twist?
It should be cautioned up top that this is just a rumor for the time being. Nothing more. That said, artist BossLogic, who regularly does artistic renderings related to superhero movies and TV shows, and has even done some work with Marvel Studios, recently shared something that came across his desk. According to the artist, Kraven the Hunter would actually be from a former Wakandan tribe, should he actually be introduced in the MCU down the line. Here's what BossLogic had to say about it in a recent post.
"So I have heard from a source that the idea of Kraven being from #wakanda from a tribe that no longer exists due to them being exiled by the royals is on the table. For the sake of this post I mocked Mustafa Shakir with some Wakanda tech. I still need to piece up a huge Russian dude, but for the next few days, I'll be dropping mostly #sdcc posts"
Mustafa Shakir, for what it's worth, looks excellent in BossLogic's mock-up. That said, Shakir already played Bushmaster in Luke Cage, which would maybe take him out of the running. But that really isn't the big thing here. Should this actually come to pass, it would be pretty huge. Kraven, aka Sergei Kravinoff, is actually a Soviet immigrant in the pages of Marvel Comics who becomes a big game hunter and obsesses over defeating Spider-Man in an effort to prove he's the greatest hunter in the world. Making the character from a disgraced Wakandan tribe would make for something of a huge twist.
That said, within the framework of the MCU, it would also make a great deal of sense. Wakandan tech could help make Kraven a much better hunter. It would also help tie Peter Parker to another, absolutely massive solo franchise and a hugely popular character in Black Panther. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and the powers that be behind the MCU have shown that, under the right circumstances, they're not afraid to make a big change, if it's used to better suit the story.

For what it may be worth, Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts has already expressed his interest in seeing Kraven brought into the MCU. And, given that Tom Holland's most recent solo adventure has already grossed $847 million worldwide, well on its way to $1 billion, which will help ensure Sony and Marvel Studios continue their partnership, it's likely plans are already being hatched behind the scenes for the next movie.
