Oh, this a remake of Spenser for Hire? Now I'm intrigued. Was a fan in the 80s, especially A Man Called Hawk. Seeing a black man going around kicking ass on his own TV show back then, I was all in.
It’s not a remake really. Just another story with those characters. Almost an origin story
This was OK. Pretty standard action/comedy.
My only real issue was them taking Hawk from super cool man of mystery to what he was in this movie.

Movie was bad to average. Good storyline but just executed poorly IMO
What was the point of the characters of the FBI and that guy who ran the news website/blog? They literally didn't do shyt even when he gave them clear evidence. Were they suppose to be comedy filler or make Spenser's conquest seem even more inconceivable?
The end was also rushed/lackluster. Bad guys were so sloppy there yet I'm suppose to believe for years they ran this undercover bust when they couldn't even logically take out Spenser?

I'm disappointed they didn't play the theme song from the show at the end.
