What goggins said reminds me of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu culture.

When some cats get their black belt they feel the journey is over and they will retain certain levels of proficiency just because of the color of their belt. To maintain standards you have to continue training. It's not over. It's. Ever over. If you can't meet standards for what your belt represents you will get your food ate in the dojo by a lesser belt.

If you met standards to become special forces but now cannot meet the fitness requirements you need to feel it in gear. Who knows when you'll be called upon. Maintain or retire.

Not maintaining standards or lessening standards to accommodate lazy people waters down the standards until you eventually have McDonald's level MC special forces.

when I first saw your post I laughed, but yeah that's the issue in a nutshell. They didnt like how he called them on getting soft.

If you are going to settle for being the best shooter I guess your training can carry you but what you gonna do when you run out of bullets and youre a fat chain smoker. Titles don't mean shyt without what allowed you to get them to back it up if you're considered active. They should have yearly requirements to maintain their fitness standards or have their status reVOKED until they get their shyt together. Go become an instructor if you wanna be a fatso but that title should be Former when you no longer meet standard.

This isn't the special Ed forces. FOH. REP THAT USA RIGHT NIHK.
