Wow - the President of the Puerto Rican Republican Party is threatening to un-endorse and not for Trump unless he apologizes for the comments made at the MSG rally. Really is a political earthquake in Puerto Rican politics right now

I think a lot of people underestimate the real gumption - and yes bravery - it takes to break from your political party publicly. Firstly, it’s asking you to go against many of your sincerely held beliefs. Secondly, it’s asking for ostracization from your close community/circle

And thirdly, it often kneecaps whatever influence/pull you may have built up or killed your future ambitions. There’s a reason why it can be exceedingly rare for this to happen, and it’s because it comes at a steep personal/professional cost

WAIT! I do have one other thing to promote: Regardless of the islands politics, they have voted consistently for years for statehood. Support for statehood is higher than it’s ever been. It is anti-democratic that we have denied their wishes for this long, PR should be a state

I used to ask that question in regards to Dave Chappele, but realized some of us are mentally ill and/or money hungry.
