I was saying earlier that Nicholson needed to make statements and he made more than a few plays including that big solo tackle where he tackled a heisman candidate running QB from the safety position. The grind of LJ Scott was big too, especially in the 4th. The running back by committee worked today.
Defense played like the 2013 D...giving up only 5 first downs and no big plays downfield.
Dantonio saying nothing about Cook sitting out...he threw an added wrinkle that may have done nothing more than add one more first down that allowed for more ball control. The 2 QB situation was ran near perfectly sans a few offensive calls that the Defense had to make up for. Small moves like this are why Mark Dantonio is a top coach in CFB today...dude has balls (n/h)
JT Barrett wasn't sacked much but his running was neutralized by the D Line and every time he throw the ball he was taking not just hits but hard hits with a player or 2 landing on you.

tbh they reminded me of MSU without injuries. Very odd play, close games against inferior competition, a couple close escapes. You eventually run out of luck. BUT it was even more puzzling today due to some stunningly bad offensive play calling. If I was Zeke I'd be pissed.
MSU came to play and dominated that game. Honestly this might have been a 10 point game if not for the special teams fukk up; MSU's defense was that good.
