Brehs I'm 2 minutes into episode 6 of the last season & I'm wondering which characters that were used on HBO's "Rome" are used on "Spartacus"?
Aside from Caesar only Pompey who showed up for just a minute or two.
I own the whole series but have yet to rewatch it since it originally aired. I'll watch an episode randomly though at times. The show as said by others has a ton of quotables.
I like this one by Gannicus in the prelude when Crixus was feeling that he didn't deserve to fight on the upcoming card Gannicus told him "There are many things given to us in this life for the wrong reasons. What we do with such blessings, that is the true test of a man."

This show is so much deeper then it gets credit for. The quotables were classic. The fight scenes epic. And the deaths glorious. I'm gonna do a whole series rewatch soon. Though I dread getting to the series finale
the finale was so sad
because everyone who you grew accustomed throughout went down, from the begin of the episode my nikka lugo caught that firebomb

seems like a formidable foe to say the least
i gotta say tho, i know we living in modern day and feminism and all that, but do we really need to see fake ass female warriors? as if victoria secret looking model bytches are gonna last more than 5 seconds in a battle with roman soldiers
if u gonna give me women warriors at least give me some big fat bytches like brienne of tarth. i just cant buy a 5'3 110lb woman holding her own versus a trained professional roman soldier.

naevia fighting ashur has to be the most cringe worthy moment of the whole series for me. shyt was so fukking fake and wack man but its a small price to pay to see ashur finally gone.

We're talking about dirty fighting Ashur who won a 4-1 against Roman soldiers but can't defeat an emaciated ex-slave who only trained with a nerfed Crixus for a few weeks?

I gotta re-watch the scene cuz it's been a while, but didn't dude pretty much win the fight? I didn't think it was too out of character considering how much he despised Crixus cuz of their history, and the lengths he went to fukk with him. Dude just wanted to rub it in his face once more like

the other thing that bothered me about that scene is the fact that crixus really let his woman fight ashur. then he was letting her get slapped around and let ashur talk shyt about raping her. the whole time he just stood there and let her continue her struggle sword fighting against him. a more realistic approach would have been to just jump him and sandal stomp his ass until he couldnt stand and then let her get the killing blow.

Yeah and as much as I like to stay away from all that "agenda" shyt, the writers were definitely on some women and gay superiority at times. I don't have a problem with that at all cuz I still enjoyed the show, but there were multiple times where it was thrown in our face. They just wanted her to rise up from that rock bottom spot she was at before by letting her redeem herself.
But let's not act like Crixus and Oenomaus weren't training her for a min. And just cuz Ashur lost def doesn't mean he was the weaker fighter. Dude was just feeling himself too much.

For me Ashur was the love to hate kind of character. Despite his vileness I liked seeing him on screen. I just thought he would have tried to make quick work of Naevia (or knock her out) so he could get off the mountain safely, imo he had another season in him.

Finished the series 2 or 3 days ago.It's not so much ashurs fight but also now in this last season seeing these bytches fighting 2 and 3 Romans at a time and killing them lol. fukkit it's nitpicking tho. This last season is tough so far
