McGregor used to be a boxer, and he actually has good hands, he'd get beat up by Floyd but you definitely can't call him a clown
A fukking professional boxer nikka :martin:

shyt, even Anderson Silva went pro and has my respect for even trying to do so.

What's Mcgregors professional boxing record again?

breh, there's a difference between a bodyguard making up ducktales about doing MMA and trying to box and a world-class MMA athlete who actually trained boxing and uses it on the big stage. I might have overstated that McGregor used to be a boxer but you can't deny his boxing skills.

Watch Mcgregor fights, pay attention to his stand-up and watch how he notices weaknesses and finds angles to throw punches, dude is extremely solid when standing and his hands are no joke.

Compared to a professional boxer, I can and will deny his boxing skills.

Until he is undefeated in boxing and wins a belt in professional boxing, I will always doubt his professional boxing skills.

And don't even compare MMA fighters to what boxers go through as professionals... It's not the same.

Dude does BASIC boxing shyt and I'm supposed to be impressed? Or believe he would stand a chance against a professional... Or even a decent Amatuer?

Not happening bruh

And there's no difference between a lying MMA fighter and one that has basic training in boxing... You wanna know why?

Because most don't get in a boxing ring and spar against decent boxers. They stick to just thinking because they get a few basic boxing drills a week that they're invincible in any way, shape, form... When these dedicated boxers are living this shyt 25/8.

You really think James Toney would've lost if they had a boxing match??? Or if that nikka had taken MMA training even slightly serious

you're talking to me like I'm some kind of Mayweather/Boxing hater :dahell:

I like both sports and enjoy the science behind boxing more than MMA, I think MMA's entertainment more than anything.

You gotta be more precise about what you mean by "going through", on the ring or in their career ?

He's not really doing basic boxing shyt, his latest KO was a check hook, he's got very good footwork, fast hands and good head movement.

Tell me what you think is basic in his boxing, knowing that the fighting conditions aren't the same as boxing where you can throw hands without worrying about takedowns or headkicks.

In fact, what MMA fighter do you think has good boxing skills ?

Silva

Holm

Diaz brothers

Basically anyone who actually spent time and dedication in a real boxing gym learning to box.

And that check hook was basically just a step back hook to a nikka running in head first and hands down... Wasn't impressive.

Let's compare... Since I don't watch this nikka much or barely know (or care) who he is or who he's fought...

Here's UFC world champion Mecgregor sparring The mountain.. A big guy without any skills, any training, and without any gloves

And here's a retired ex pro, with a garbage professional boxing record, vs. the current strongest man in the world (I think) that has minimum boxing experience, smaller but more agile and more technique, with 12-16 oz gloves

At best, Mcgregor is a Journeyman in boxing... AT BEST.

And it's basic boxing because he's in MMA. If he was even decent in boxing he would be doing that for a living

you're comparing a "sparring" video where 2 guys are allowed to grab and are just having fun, to actual sparring in a ring with strict boxing rules, what's your point exactly ? Look at the actual size differences too.

his hands weren't down, it was a counter shot :dahell:

I never said he was an elite boxer, besides what's the point of pro boxing at a low/medium level if you can be the most popular fighter in MMA ?

No he wasn't (Ireland) although I think he was champ for the under 16 nation schoolboys so that is still something. And I agree he is a better boxer than most mma fighters
