Yea it's annoying as fukk. I don't answer unknown numbers and my phone usually says "scam likely" but not always. I've also went through a period where the phone number was like a random 4 digit number (2734) calling in the middle of the night.

When I jumped on the national do not call list, shyt was few and far between that was 3 years ago, now its 6 days a week me and my wife get dumbass calls

To add to what someone else said, these nikkas spoof numbers from our hometowns. Same first 6 digits then some randomness. I got new phone that came with free caller ID and it's always random nikkas cell phones

I was a telemarketer during my undergrad years. By far the worst fukking job ever. Being on some sort of "do not call" list doesn't matter at all, as most companies do random digit dial. shyt is becoming more common though, kinda like it was in the early 2000s :patrice:

I heard a story about this on NPR Planet Money. Their conclusion was that the robocalls are here for now but the did offer a solution. You can use the setting on your phone to block calls from unknown numbers.
