what part of the south you in? i've lived in texas most of my life and actually the rude...rushy...arrogant types that we have down here ARE the exception and not the rule(and people tend to look at them funny and consider them weird down here). ...tho types are virtually the norm in more northern/eastern states.

What your describing sounds more like a dude who was raised right by his parents and that's not specific to a geographic area! I've seen some dudes straight disrespect females, older, younger, men, white, black, property, hood, cacville, etc
