They definitely up there. The most underrated athletes out there are the linemen. Those guys are faster than people think. Like that lineman who almost returned that kick for a TD with the patriots. He was running away from DB’s on that KRThis thread reminding me why I think NFL athletes are the most freak of nature ass mothetfukkers in the whole world
I know what you talking bout. Dudes who hit puberty at 10, never lift a weight in their lives and come out at 6’5 235 lbs of muscle. Not necessarily cut but just fukking big functional strength. You think you gonna win a wrestling match with these guys in the locker room cuz you bench the same weight but when that motherfukker grab you it’s like you getting hemmed up by a grizzly. Yeah I know what you mean haha. nikkas been changing tires by themselves since the time you were learning nursery rhymes.
Nobody personified this more than Earl Campbell.
Know some dudes that played for the razorbacks with matt jones and they stories they tell are
They said dude was in a literal rock band that would play on campus...for home games he would play in that rock band all night...smoke...drink...do coke...fukk hoes all night...show up for the game and throw for 250...run for a 100...he would take his helmet off and his hair wouldn't even be wet cause he wouldn't even be sweating
Said he never lifted outside of mandatory weight days and even then he would skip most of them, just be walking around with a 6 pack joking and shyt...then when they did max weights and max reps the only people who could beat him would be the two strongest linemen on the team...
Said there was some dude their at the time who ran track and had olympic level speed...said Matt once raced him in like some sketchers or something and just straight smoked him...
Not quite country strong but Ryan Mallet is 6 "6" or 6 "7", but he been that tall since he was in high school. I remember watching him play some games at Texas High and he would literally be bigger than the other teams defensive tackles. He would be the biggest dude on the field. Them kids you to fall and bounce off of him like he had a force field
WHAT THE ...GOOD LORD.Earl got up: Inside the second act of a Texas legend
He actually played his whole career with spinal stenosis. His doctor said that if it had been known, he wouldn’t be cleared to play.
The safety getting thrown is Michael Downs, who turned out to be a good player in the NFL
