Good. They can give a shout out to black folks for giving them the courage to do it. Cause culturally its an up hill battle for them, so they see many in the African Diaspora showing how retarded it is to aim for light skin, they now can celebrate and feel completely confident.......in their own skin.

These movements have been going on for a long time over there, social media is just blowing it up at the moment. African diaspora is just as color struck as other dark people, everyone deals with it in their own way.

Another reason is that the Indian film industry is heavily influenced by Muslims, and India now has an unapologetically pro Indian leader after a long time, so the time is ripe for sentiment to change.

It's here in America too bruh. Growing up in the 80's and 90's I can't tell you how many households would have a box or two of ambi /bambi soap in their bathrooms.

Just went to visit some folk from my old neighborhood. They got an unopened box of Ambi in the bathroom

Something I did notice, quite a few of those women repping their melanin had White boyfriend's and husband's. So its like they are proud of their complexion, but not enough to pass it on to their seeds.

Its why these "love your melanin" movements are somewhat ironically funny....swirlers be the loudest ones South Asian women can be beautiful but Horners are the rich man's version of that look
