Sources: There's fear Lakers star LeBron James is likely to miss an extended period of time with his right foot injury. Might miss several weeks

Mod of the forum, and first reaction to news of a star's injury is to gloat and hate on him further. No wonder the forum has reached the state it's in.

Some of y'all hate basketball so much, you want to put an asterisk when a team DOESN'T get their players injured. Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

Yeah this shyt mad corny. If nikkas really hate the sport like that, then just stay on the other forums. I'll never understand miserable mfers making sport of hating on individuals. shyt is silly.

Will you continue to follow basketball once Bron retires?

He doesn’t even follow his favorite team (the Blazers) of course he won’t follow the sport once Bron retires. He’ll just track the stats and type up more essays here to sound smart.

He definitely won’t be stinking up the Lakers thread when Brons gone, I know that :ahh:

Bron has spent his entire life playing this game and its all he knows as far as a full time occupation. I'm sure it's harder to let go than it even appears from the surface...

I'm just not sure that it's worth it to keep coming back for more, when you can't make it thru a season uninjured anymore. Take away the aberration of 2020, in 4 of his 5 Laker seasons he hasn't played 60 games, and that's going to continue this year with his latest injury...

His first 15 years he played on average 77 games/year, and only once played fewer than 70 games, and that was 69 in 2015...

His 5 years as a Laker, he's averaging 57 games/year, only played in 70 just once in that '20 season (played the equivalent of 77 in the shortened season), and has been under 60 all the other 4 years. 20 games fewer than his pre-Laker career, he's playing 20 fewer games/year as a Laker...

It's hard to watch any great player decline, it's like when Manning and Brees were approaching the end for me. This compilation of injuries, I know Bron thinks every time he rehabs he has another title run in him, but his body is telling him otherwise. He doesn't have the ability to be a Top 2 guy on his team anymore without these injuries. He could probably be a role player and play in more games and be less hurt, but he's never been that, I don't think he'd even know how to be a sub-20ppg guy with a significantly diminished role...

It's just hard to watch. Quite possibly the most durable 15-year career ever if his career ended in '18. It didn't though, and watching this decline is tough...

I hope he gets well quickly but I'd just as soon have him hang it up for good, there's almost no chance he has at another title given he's always hurt nowadays, and this late career injury-riddled Lakers tenure is reason for some to downplay his pre-Laker career...

It's just time to go and he keeps playing, the game is gonna force him out via a real career-ending injury.....shyt is hard to watch...
Bro he 38 averaging 30 wym he doesn’t have the skill to be a number two to a contender? With the right team he a number 1 lol

@10bandz, when Bron retires I think the worst case scenario would be if I gave up on talking about basketball altogether and just stalked posters who made me feel insecure instead.

In other words, if I turned into you.

He doesn’t even follow his favorite team (the Blazers) of course he won’t follow the sport once Bron retires. He’ll just track the stats and type up more essays here to sound smart.

It's been, what, 12 hours since the last time I participated in a Blazers post? And in a separate thread right before that did i not list two current Blazers as among my 10 favorite players to watch, including one that not a single other person in the thread would have thought to mention? And then did I not respond to a different comment about Brandon Roy in another thread just before that too?

Hell, I actually watched Roy's entire 4th quarter against Dallas from Game 4 in 2011 yesterday just because thinking of how short his career was made me nostalgic. But but but I don't follow the Blazers.

I know you saw those comments because you obsessively track me around the board. So everyone can see once again that you've been caught openly lying.

Thanks though for admitting that I sound smart, at least compared to you.

He definitely won’t be stinking up the Lakers thread when Brons gone, I know that :ahh:

Your insecurity is palpable,. No one gives a shyt about your posts in there because you have nothing to say. You talk about me more than you talk about any basketball player.

What do @Bilz @staticshock @Voice of Reason @Rhakim have in common?

They all pretend to be fans of other teams to mask their Bron stanning. At least @staticshock keeps up the jig( a hawks fan being a Bron groupie is hilarious considering Bron is the mayor of their city) but them other dudes forget about their lies. I didn’t even know @Rhakim was a “blazers fan”. I want him to come here and tell me with a straight face that he’s made more blazer posts than Bron posts.

This is the thing very few people want to admit:

LeBron could have possibly reduced his chances of injury had he be willing to produce less offensively. But he loves his stats too much.

LeBron giving you 30 minutes per game, averaging 21, 7, and 7 would have been better for the Lakers big-picture wise.

And don't give me that "they needed LeBron to score that much to stay competitive:damn:"

No, LeBron needed LeBron to score that much to maintain his career averages.
"Why is he only playing 30 minutes a game? He just wants to extend his career to play with his son! He doesn't care about winning :sadcam: Kobe sacrificed his achilles for the team :damn:"
:snooze:

The tenor of the comments from you bytches gloating is different.

Your bytch ass is relieved that Lebron got hurt because you want him off the Lakers because you are a homosexual.

Hopefully he comes back strong for the playoffs to piss you off even more.

Nah I’ll be following the Lakers like I been doing for 25 years. You’ll be typing up disingenuous, misleading essays in GOAT threads.

Or perhaps making a farewell thread and leaving again since you’re so secure :mjlol:

Do a search on my Blazers history. There's plenty of shyt I've said on here that no one who wasn't a diehard Blazers fan would even know, much less remember well enough to post on it. The Seung-Jin fight, the Sabonis arm wrestling story, the Telfair draft, fat Shawn Kemp days, Roy hitting two game-winners in two seconds, Cliff Robinson's legacy, the Alaa Abdelnaby era, the way Steve Blake used to light y'all up every time he faced the Lakers ... how would I even remember that shyt to bring up in various posts if I hadn't been following the Blazers for decades?

I want him to come here and tell me with a straight face that he’s made more blazer posts than Bron posts.

:scust:

By that logic, is @10bandz just a Rhakim fan not a Laker fan cause he's made more posts about me than about the Lakers this month?

Like 90% of the posters here, I join in on conversations and rarely start my own threads. Bron is talked about on here 100x as much as the Blazers are, there isn't even a Blazers season thread. On top of that, he's my favorite player ever and remains the most relevant player in the NBA, so of course I talk about him. Even his haters talk about Bron more than they talk about anyone else, so why wouldn't his fans?

I mean, you're a Canadian Kobestan for crying out loud. Don't you know people who are fans of their home team yet still followed Kobe as much or more?
