why is impressing strangers so important to some people
This the dumb nikka shyt nikkas engage in. They do it with the shyt they the wear. They do it in the songs they rap. They do by the places they eat. They do it by throwing away money at club. To impress nikkas who ain't got shyt. But to they people who have real money their money ain't shyt. The root of it all is the fact that most entertainers grew up not having shyt. So now that they finally have something they can show it off. Going to elementary, middle school and high school in the inner city if you came to school with non-name brand shyt you're instantly the laughing stock of the school even though the nikkas who got name brand shyt their moms can't even afford it. nikkas just wanna shine the pain away. We(as in most of us) don't have any real self esteem so we acquire shyt to make up for that and/or compensate for that. Poverty is a mental disorder.

Also soulja does still get bookings overseas, frat parties, etc and I've heard he has a lil cult following in LA.
I mentioned this in another thread but a lot of those frats at big schools throw parties with artists budgets between $10,000-$40,000. Soulja Boy is one of the most booked rappers at them, along with Waka in recent years. Here's Soulja at two of them May this year and October 2015

Just because he does shows and gets booked doesn't mean he's not broke. I'd be comfortable in betting that he's in debt. His spending has always been insane, including when he bought a private jet years ago (which is literally the worst thing you can buy). Wouldn't be stunned if he's not paying taxes either.
