Sprite really repped hip hop. And they had Red Alert in KRS 1s corner and Mr Magic in MC Shans corner.

read up on that. those hip hop ads plus from what I remember as a kid winning a free sprite every two purchases (lol) turned sprite from a drop in the bucket for coca cola to actually making more money than their flagship drink.

the whole campaign was birthed from two brothas in high positions at coca cola that really loved hip hop.
