Maaaan, this scene here alone.
This and white chicks are two movies that have seemingly been rejuvenated through social media. Very curious to see how they would be received if dropped now.
I think soul plane would get a lot of the same reception tbh, but maybe do a little higher with people seeing it for what it is for better or worse. My main issue is that it automatically places itself in comparison to much better parodies (airplane or whatever by mel brooks directly) and then shyt like scary movie 1/2 (which you can tell are written by the Wayans/had a lot of actual black writers on that side to help).
Malibu's Most Wanted, though, is lowkey a classic that rings truer and truer every single year. If anything, that movie was way ahead of its time.
White chicks is probably the worst of the 3 but most likely would have been the most popular if released now, but tbh, wasn't a fan then and still not a huge fan even after the whole changing of heart from everyone else.
