Yea I'm not watching a single game next season if that's true, this franchise is officially Jets status for me...

This was the WORST managed Yankee team to ever make the world series courtesy of a very weak American League...

5 unearned runs in one inning in a world series game... :what:

Once he’s gone, it’s gonna get ugly and now Judge is gonna be at the center of it. Part of what hurts the team going forward is that they’re not very likable.

I’m just gonna watch to see the development of the kids. I may puke if Pete wears pinstripes
This is another good point I didn’t think to articulate on earlier when discussing what the problems are at the root with this team. Nearly every single move they’ve made in the past 7-8 years has backfired and their response when anyone questions them is to be smug, arrogant, and dismissive about it. It’s hard to root for a team that year in and year out ends its own season because They can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot from an organizational level all the way down to the stuff you learn in little league and then turn around and send their shills to tell us we’re spoiled and don’t know shyt when we call out the dumb stuff they do all year round because we see what ignoring their foundational issues will lead to. How do you keep getting up to root for a team that won’t trade its prospects in a title window for stars but then also glues them to the bench for stopgap vets on the back end of bad contracts who suck or keep them stashed in the minors? It’s one thing to have an organization that’s arrogant but wins all the time, but these guys act like this and never get it done against any real contenders and the fans are running out of patience.

I want to hit the :gucci: but after cashman’s crash out presser following the sweep by Houston I told some family they were the biggest embarrassment in New York sports even over the jets so I can’t really argue it :francis:. They remind me a lot of each other in recent years in the sense that whatever the right move is in a big moment, they’re a safe bet to do the exact opposite.

Again, the man who put this roster together must be fired. Hal can’t whine about payroll when he employs a GM who sets $60-100 million on fire in this manner every year :hhh: :trash:. This is almost as bad as going into 2022 with $25 million for Donaldson, $13 million for Britton, $17 million for Chapman, $10 million for gallo, $10 million for hicks, and $6 million for IKF (it was too early to dump on Rizzo and DJ for what they were getting paid)

The scouting report was “They’re dumb with bad fundamentals. Just stay out of the way and they’ll beat themselves.” and you announce minutes after being eliminated that you’re gonna bring that manager back and low IQ & bad fundamentals have knocked you out in your last 3 postseasons under the guy :camby:

I'm gonna be honest, they could have saved all their money on scouting and video and just asked any one of us :russ: Everyone knew how fundamentally poor they are in so many crucial parts of the game.

This is one of the dumbest Yankee teams of all time. If not the dumbest.

Brian Cashman apparently read Moneyball and took away all the wrong lessons from it.

That's why he builds teams that can't hit for shyt, but walk and hit home runs.

If he would have understood that the point of the book was that Oakland was exploiting inefficiencies, he might have paid more attention to batting average, baserunning and fielding.

If you take anything away from that NY Post article, it's that the Dodgers did exactly that...exploited the parts of baseball that the Yankees were careless about.

And like all of you have correctly stated, it starts at the top.

Because a motherfukker who has been on the job since 1998 should know better.

Brian Cashman is the worst GM in professional sports precisely because he has all the resources to do the job well and always fails anyway. My god. If the Tampa Bay Rays had this money they'd have won 6 or 7 World Series this century.

This is why you pay superstars and fill in the blanks around them. NEVER overspend for role players. You end up spending more for less. It's fukking idiotic.

I'll never forget the Tigers refusing to pay Max Scherzer then spending more on Jordan Zimmermann, Mike Pelfrey, washed K-Rod and washed Joe Nathan. :snoop:

Mantis wrote many times about how when Bryce Harper was a free agent, he never even received a call or offer from Brian Cashman.
