I really hope that Austin Wells exceeds projections and takes the full-time Catcher job by mid-season or sooner.

It would be pretty bad if Jose Trevino catches 100 games. It was truly gross to have to watch him and Higashioka get all those plate appearances the last few years.

Nestor Cortes is a big X-Factor in the rotation. The thing I'm looking for with him is whether he allows a lot of HRs. If he keeps the ball in the park, he could have a really good year and maybe throw more innings than people expect. You don't have a ton of control over HRs though, so we'll see.

Rodon is the more obvious question mark. I still think the stuff is there. It's the walks that could kill him. He's going to have to get some help from the Yankees catchers framing and calling pitches.

I don't know why the Yankees have this young kid Matt Blake as their pitching coach. He's never played MLB before. Somehow I would prefer that job to go someone with a lot more experience in the bigs, like when the Yankees had Mel Stottlemyre.
