I was shocked and was like "oh shyt, it got real"
It still was an attack on America and should never happen again.
But even then and certainly now that I'm older, the fact that:
- we got the Patriot Act,
- Telecommunications Act,
- Snowden-reveal,
- learned nothing when Ron Paul described quite accurately blowback,
- still went bombing everything East of the Atlantic,
- went after the wrong guy (saddam),
- let the right guy hide for 4 years (bin laden)
- and did nothing to the host country (pakistan),
- got exposed for warmongering for oil (iraq),
- and after all that gave the Afghanistan back to the Taliban.
I feel that 9/11 was really the day the new enemies of democracies won and gave the old enemies of democracy the platform to finish the job.
