This is gonna fukk up the multiplat game for real. It'll affect PC releases too, since most people only have 4 cores. i7s from here on out.

It has nothing to do with PCs even current games arent using all 4 cores.. PC has hyper threading as well and developers make the games more gpu based

And that stat comes from majority MMO I'm almost sure...those games don't appeal to the average person so still, PC gaming isn't the future. i7s are becoming more and more recommended for current gen games. A lot of the new games use all 8 of my logical cores real well.

the only significant advantage was online functionality, now that its gone all the best shooters are console which was 90% of console game at the time
