There are literally thousands of AA indie studios out there nowadays, Playstation can just partner with those for games like Tchia, Kena and Stray. There is no real reason for a studio like Pixelopus to be under Playstation Studios.

I get that the ASTRO series was made for it, but a new ape escape to show off the functions of the dualsense would have been fukking heat
