Sony doesn’t make much money on single player games.

All the GaaS games are threatening to cut sony out.

They gotta make a GaaS hit or two in order to keep their business going.

Expect lots more of these. They already said they would be investing more into gaas than single player going forward.

I personally don’t have an issue with it Sony needs some mp games in the portfolio.

Makes a lot of sense honestly. Gaas and subscriptions are the future of gaming whether you like it or not.

I blame development costs and time the most, but I'm sure it's a multifaceted issue.
