I was there the day it dropped at $599 left my pocket in cold, hard cash. 11.5 years later, still in effect. Not to mention, shyt has the software mod on it now. PS1/PS2/PS3 Isos are chilling on that bytch currently. Not to mention, NES/SNES/Genesis emus.

That last part is why I'm always an early adopter. The fly shyt happens on those the most.

All I know is ps5 better be backwards compatible otherwise I’m gonna jump ship to PC next gen. I don’t want all my library stuck on an old console anymore.

Just come on over to the PC side. I got like 20 years of games that are still playable today. Backwards compatibility is just a given.

This fall will be a good time to get aboard this PC shyt, as mainstream 8-core CPUs and new Nvidia GPUs are coming out.

i could be down for it since i dont have any of the hardware before ps4. that being said, i would still want trophies from the games to go to my psn account.

another problem is i primarily only want japanese games and im not sure which of sony's 1st/2nd party studios were really making great japanese styled games. i always associate sony's in house production with the american studios. i doubt a lot of 3rd parties will participate, but if they did, it would be pretty cool
