This is the truth.
Ski has said this mad times in tons of interviews. People would rather believe that Jay "took" beats from dudes, than to believe what's actually being said by the dude that produced them. LOL!! I was a fan of Camp Lo way before their album even dropped. I was copping their white label shyt before anyone even knew who they were, but I can still objectively say that Cheeb always lied about this. Ski literally said that they complained that he was giving all of the dope beats to Jay. Most specifically, they wanted "Politics As Usual", which he made for RD for Jay. And "Who U Wit", but somehow, magically, he wanted all of their beats?
You see this in Hip Hop a lot. Whenever someone whose career hasn't taken off says something slanderous about someone more successful, no matter how wild or ridiculous it is, people who don't like the successful dude will go out of their way to try and back it, lol. Ski has a history of speaking about how his songs were made. Dude literally said that Camp Lo wanted a lot of Jay's beats and then named a few specifically. He's never said that Jay tried to take anything from those dudes. The one track that Jay wanted from him, was his own song. Not Camp Lo's. Mad rappers wanted "Luchini", including BIG. No one tried to take the beat though. If Ski wanted, he could've made way more bread by giving BIG the beat for Life After Death. Clearly, he's not letting people jack anyone else's beats.
