and this generation of kids is no different...i bought the last sonic game for my nephew for his nitendo ds..and he said he is ADDICTED to it....

This looks like a whole new take on the Sonic formula. I gotta give it to sega, they aren't giving up on Sonic and it shows. Sonic Generations and Sonic All Stars racing Transformed was fukking dope. People sleeping on Sonic.

I'm actually wanting a Wii U for this title. If a new Mario, this and some other hot piff drop later this year I'm copping a Wii-U for cheap. PCS4U combo. Only one is missing.

Different art styles. What I like about it the most is that it looks like a breath of fresh air for a Sonic platformer. I'm loving the Mario Galaxy look it has plus the new enemies look like nothing seen in previous sonic games. I might cop a WiiU later this year

I'm gonna come out and say it.

3D graphics/polygons killed Sonic. Before you say "the last few games have been good", how long has that taken to happen?

Directly after the 16-bit, 2D era the industry dipped their toes into polygons and 3D. Initially they had a hard time mastering basic shyt like camera placement, open world game play, etc. which is why games like "Tomb Raider" and "Mario64" were considered so ahead of their time.

The main difference though, is "Sonic" was fast paced. And you can't make a fast paced game if you can't even control where your camera is. So Sonic fell to the wayside. By the time people figured out 3D and polygons enough to make a Sonic game for Dreamcast, most people didn't give a fukk any more.
