Exactly what was thinking when dude said Sonic games were never good. The first two are tight, from gameplay to music, to graphics at the time. I never really messed with any of the others.....

I normally wouldn't suggest this, but I feel, in this case, it is well needed. Sonic needs a reboot. Sonic, at the height of its popularity was great when the games featured Sonic and Tails Prowler, so I would keep that relationship going. They need to let go off Dr. Eggman(AKA Dr. Robotnik for the old heads) and either create a new antagonist or create a new story angle for one of the existing characters in the universe. The Robotnik name change, due to trademarking issues, did damage to the popularity of the franchise before the mediocre games, notably Sonic Pinball.... lol

I feel that most old heads have moved on and new players just aren't into it because the comic/manga..... is obscure.

Sonic '06, Sonic Generations & Sonic Boom were all reboots and two of them were received horribly. Keep in mind Sonic & The Secret Rings, Sonic Colors, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic & The Black Knight, Sonic 4, and Sonic Lost World have all been released too.
If anything they need to stop rebooting and releasing so many fukking games. Release one, see if people like it and then just go from there.

I think if you want Sonic to be successful with 3D games, you need to redo the traditional format. Dude is too fast for how modern games are made nowadays. You gotta create giant ass levels just to maintain places for dude to travel. Not to mention the simple go fast through the levels with minor obstacles can get boring. More stuff needs to be incorporated to switch things up.

I think overall Sonic needs to be treated as if Flash had his own video game. Make Sonic go at a reasonable default speed, then allow him to go much faster when he chooses on some fast travel shyt. This allows the games to be purely open world. Give him an option to slow things down while letting him keep his normal speed. Features like that can add more to the gameplay. People will complain that it's no longer the Sonic they know, but that time is passed obviously.

This is beautiful. I still have my Wii but the controllers don't work. I also have dolphin on the computer though. Would have to play this with xbox one controller

Yea any usb controller will work with Dolphin. This game in 1080p is absolutely stunning. There's also a 60fps hack you can use to upgrade it from 30fps to 60 fps when using dolphin.


It's the best sonic game since the genesis ones.
