there never was an official og version just lots of sessions over lots of years, its like Detox, half started albums that would scrapped after a year or two. rinse repeat, and like Detox theres probably a bunch of fanmade comps titled statlanta OG.

1- I heard it on the radio back in 2001/2002. He's a male R&B singer & they used the classic Isley's Footsteps In The Dark as a sample. On the hook he sang: "I hear gunshots in the park, after dark" I haven't been able to track this down

2 - A Beanie Sigel quick freestyle song that I think DJ Enuff used to play on Hot97 around 2003/04. It recycled his Journey Through Life verse but used a different sample for it. It sounded like they took the theme song to the musical Grease below within the first 5 seconds:

That's the closest anyone has gotten since I've been posting here but definitely not it but good look for trying!!!!!! The singer was definitely a dude & there wasn't a rap verse. That guitar in the very beginning though reminded me of it a little though. The sample I heard sounded like an acoustic guitar version of Ice Cube's: It Was a Good Day. It was even more simple than the AI guess which was a good one below
