How come this rip sounds like a reencode from RealAudio G2 quality with its compression and artifacts breh? Its uniform across all of the tracks with the harsh highs, missing fidelity and generally flat feel those songs used to have.

Gave me 56K flashbacks.

Was it ripped from something that was streaming as opposed to source files as there isn't a retail out there I can buy on any platform.

I DL'd this in 2019 when it first dropped. I don't know what the source files were? I'm pretty positive that none of the source files were ever mixed or mastered... This was released as a freebie. Re-Encoded? More than likely.
