LMFAO. i gotta give him props for the honest effort though

I knew nikkas was gonna laugh :heh:.....that's why I decided to be the one nikka to at least try to look for it

I searched for like 20 minutes with the little info he gave.....no luck finding anything that sounded like what he was singing

If he could've at least remembered one of the lyrics, then he could have found that easily....I wonder when and where he heard that song from to begin with?

OP, I'm sure this isn't the song you're talking about.....but the mmmmbadabadap part you were trying to imitate....I'm assuming that's scatting, like in the beginning of this song, right?

:gladbron:

This HAS to be it

:salute: good work, breh

EDIT: As long as we song-hunting for new jack swing tunes, lemme see if I can find one I'm looking for

This is a new jack swing song I been looking for for years.....worst part is, the last time I heard it was SO long ago that I'm starting to wonder if I just made the song up in my head....:sadbron:

Anyway, the song has a VERY similar NJS beat to the 2 songs below, same tempo and everything:

Y'all hear how similar the beat is between Casanova and If It Isn't Love? Beat sounds JUST like it.......but the only other thing I remember about the song is that it's a male singer (or singers harmonizing? Could be a male group) who sings the word "beauuuuutiiiiifuuuul" in the chorus

For some reason, I'm remembering the singer's voice sounding like Gerald Levert, but I doubt it's him because I remember going through a ton of his songs that he made around the time Casanova dropped (you know how some artists like to release 2 or 3 songs with a similar beat in the same time period), and I never found it

Help me, brehs....and don't ask me to try to sing it because my voice is garbage and I'm shy :sadbron:

@LordEssdot , think you might know this one I'm talking about?

My mother either owned the CD or the single, among a gang of vinyls from that era. I just happened to be the one child to take a liking to it when my siblings moved towards to modern music. :yeshrug:

Funny you should say that.....because that reminds me, one time many years ago while listening to the radio, I randomly heard an old reggae song that happened to sound VERY similar in melody to the song I remembered :wtf:.....then I went like :krs: because I thought it was a reggae cover of the NJS song......so all I had to do was Google the reggae song, find the title/lyrics then use that to find the NJS version, which would finally bring an end to my search :blessed:

.......still wasn't able to find the song :snoop:

Apparently it was an original reggae song using a riddim. I googled the source song of the riddim (Won't You Come Home by Delroy Wilson), and tried to see if maybe there was a NJS version of THAT song, which would have been the song I remembered......still nothing :snoop:

So the whole thing was most likely just a coincidence :sadbron:....just another song that happened to sound similar to my lost song......:sadbron:

I just searched for the reggae song in question.....here it is:

Now transfer that melody to the 'Casanova' beat and make the shyt match up......and that's pretty much the new jack swing/R&B song I'm remembering (basically, I remember it sounding like Casanova with the same beat, instruments and everything, except the melody sounded like the reggae song's melody, and the male singer(s) was singing "beauuu-tiiiiii-fuuuuuuul" in the chorus)

You hear how dude is singing "a plaaaace in your heeeeart" in the reggae song? That's similar to how I remember the word "beauuuu-tiiiiii-fuuuuul" being sung in my lost song

BTW, that Roses Are Red song :gladbron:......my first time hearing it, shyt is BUTTERS, breh :wow:

That shyt have me like
