Although its not that cut and dry when it's deeply rooted psychological thinking, but this is the fundamental element of change. As crazy as it sounds, your mind has to convince your mind that it is open to change. Once this happens, usually triggered through an emotional experience, there is a small window in time where you can step outside of yourself and view your beliefs objectively. I'm sure he had some sort of "awakening" but the process of removing himself from those groups and activities had to be tough. Hopefully he has broken through. Change of this magnitude should not be shunned or looked over. A lot of us were born and raised to respect each others race, views and beliefs but for those who were warped into hate its a big step.

1. most black parents don't push racist shyt. Many black children get their ideas from the mother (for various reasons) and most black woman aren't concerned with that shyt. Most nikkas don't listen to their dads about women, life, or race. either way, Most black parents don't push it like other races.
2. People can change. I grew up as the head of a youth group in Baptist Church.. in a multicultural church.. in a mega Church... Was a Evangelical and pushed those ideas. ... in Texas. I smashed white girls like it would make me live longer or something. As an adult I served this country and put my life on the line in the worse places on Earth during one of the worse times.
