Any excuse to not support Black-owned businesses...

You say you get better service at places owned by others, yet these people will call you a nikker behind your back and would NEVER hire you nor anyone from our community.

If the service is poor, tell them what they should improve. If their offerings aren't strong enough, tell them what they should improve...

Who said I didn't support black owned businesses or giving it a reason not to?

I stopped going to the Cajun place yes but I spent my money elsewhere to other black businesses in the area. The Cajun restaurant is now catering instead due to high rent prices. My city has a 6-7% population so I doubt my small contribution was the reason why they do not still have a brick and morter side of their business. You guys love blaming the messenger.

To give me a little more perspective on what you're saying, do you mind citing the qualities the non-black places had that the black-owned ones didn't?

There's a Greek place I frequent that knows my name and my order. Pretty swift service and standard. Get a discount through my work. It's white owned but there are blacks and other races also there.

I also frequent an Asian restaurant but a few of them know me by association from other people and I get good service. Never had any problems. Low prices...as in I will spend $7-8 bucks for a quality meal and a side.

When I was at one restaurant here w/ a friend of mine the order took longer than expected and they offered me a discount to my surprise. I didn't really care and appreciated the gesture.

Most other places I go are chains but I'd be lying if I said non-black owned businesses treat me like shyt and I know that's what the militants on here want me to say.

Bet.

I mean shyt, your experience is your experience. :manny:

I would say there's root social and economic problems which manifest in the form of poor overall service in black establishments. I wouldn't say it's an inherent trait...

My side business I do online performance marketing and web analytics for small businesses (SEO,SEM, Social etc) and 90% of my customers are CACs. The other 10% are Hispanic or Asian. The customer referrals that were for brothers/sisters that owned their own businesses all went dead and they never reached out to me. Keep in mind I've only had 10 clients to date since I opened the S-corp but I'm also talking the number of potential clients who I've spoken to which is around 100 at various networking events.

I do not actively reach out to black owned businesses because small businesses in general don't like to spend money on proper online marketing yet and brothers/sisters typically are on that :mjpls: attitude unfortunately in my experience. Perhaps if I were in a different city like Chicago, ATL or even Philly it might be a different experience. But a lot of Philly cats can also be sheisty when it comes to professional relationships. I'd likely need to get my money upfront or have a good reference for another vendor relationship they have that tells me they get their money on time every month - Or I could potentially never get paid because they'd try to pull a "Cut a nikka a break" shyt. I mean remember there's a lot of us who won't pay rent but somehow manage to afford da club every weekends and new jordans every month :francis:. It's sad but I can rely on a Jew to pay me my money on time once it's invoiced. I give them 30 days they usually pay it in 15. :upsetfavre: This isn't a charity. The thing is I don't mind if they say can I have a discount I would consider it but it's not going to be low to the point of where it makes it not worth it to even do the work. I already have a well paying 9-5 :beli: this is just to supplement my income for party and travel expenses.

Personally I'm bias towards black owned business. I typically give them the benefit of the doubt however if I feel that my kindness is taken for granted I'll certainly address it. I would rather help support a black business In an effort to hopefully seem blossom and expand than see another white entity grow larger and larger.

:russell: more and more excuses as to why one "finds it hard" to support black business. Idiots will drop good bread in a racist cac owned spot, but look for reasons to criticize black businesses. Then get on the internet and write about it. :snoop:

We're a critical society and with stuff like yelp, Google, etc word spreads like wildfire. Hell even people criticize the writing of shows on TV, we criticize music. Information spreads like wildfire whether positive or negative.

Like I said earlier, not every black establishment can be nested in Atlanta, Houston, DC and other black cities. They need to compete with non blacks as well and typically customer service is that route. My money can only go so far to help them if there are issues.

I would do the same if I got poor service at a white establishment and have before. If you think I'm on an 'ice is colder' tip, I went to a Greek establishment in the past in my city and the guy seemed hurried to get my order. Bad food, overall bad experience. That was one time too many for me to go there.

So if I complain about the customer service, one of the more critical relationships in order to keep and satisfy existing customers and to acquire further more (the human aspect is worth more than the commodity), it is my fault because I am nitpicking. Gotcha :stopitslime:
