If you check, sports where the women dress like the men, nobody gives a fukk about them. Then you look at sports where the women dress like women - like tennis, volleyball, track, gymnastics - and the women's version of the sport is as popular or more popular than the men's.

Look at the Australian national women's basketball team, and try to imagine properly proportioned black women running up and down a court in these uniforms:

You're not gonna buy a ticket to watch Sylvia Fowles play ball in a one piece because she has a one piece on. If you do, then for one, you're crazy and secondly, you're not the person the league's looking to attract. To be honest, no, not really. You're not their main demographic. If you wanna watch women's basketball, nothing is stopping you from doing so right now, but not watching it because they're not skimpy enough for you is ridiculous. If the league is more wholesome than you want it to be, tough shyt. You wanting them to play in more risque gear is like a woman saying "I can't really get into the NBA until LeBron's playing in a speedo." Clearly you just have to go somewhere else to get your fix. The women who play in the WNBA do other risque shyt that you'd like (like when they show up in those ESPN: The Body issues and other publications), but the league itself isn't gonna mandate it just to suit you at the expense of their core fanbase: women, especially young girls.
