There's also truvada and preemptive drugs to suppress HIV transmission. If I recall correctly the transmission rate even among homosexual couples is like less than a percent when having unprotected sex as long as the partner has a low viral load.

As for the post, what's the problem? She likely contracted the disease from a previous relationship and they're happy. Can't demonize people for things they may not have had control over.
