The Soviet Union was a white supremacy plot? Then why does Putin and the current Russian foreign policy seem so much different?

in discussing ukraine, putin talks about how america treats other ppl in the world (vietnam, blacks) but cleverly doesn't talk about racism and white supremacy in his own country..

in my opinion it's better for african countries to align themselves with russia and everyone else and not just being controlled by the commonwealth. hasn't worked and will not work for them.

Very underrated point. The Communist experiment didn't always go well.

smmfh, the whole Derg episode was extremely fukked up. Honestly the more I've learned the more I feel bad about the whole situation. I used to only aim my anger at Mengistu since I was told from childhood that he was the reason I was born in America and Ethiopia was fukked up, but they were a reaction of other fukked up shyt from before. A lot of mistakes were made going back to the 19th century and this experiment was the height of mistake making.

Yeah, so that’s not true. Africa had literally spent the last couple hundred years under colonial domination.

The obvious answer is that socialism is the antithesis to colonization since it literally involves the means of production being in the hands of the workers, as opposed to the bourgeois or more specific the colonial masters and captains of industry.

Not at all, the demand to produce isn’t the issue here. The allocation of capital, and who actually receives the benefit of the labor from the production is what’s important.

You’re purposely mixing silly political rhetoric to detract from the economic basis: if the bank demands the bulk of the surplus labor from the farmer, the farmer is worse off. If the Party provides the avenue for the farmer to actually maintain possession of the surplus, and if societal surplus is distributed equitably, than the farmer is vastly better off.
