How was it not? Because he said it about Lebron and his management team? He can play dumb and "old" unaware guy all he wants, but at the end of the day, there was intent behind his words. It was definitely on code, and everyone knows what he meant. People want to make Phil the victim here, not saying you are specifically, but it was definitely a talking point when this went down "He is just an old white guy, he doesn't understand, leave him alone".
