This thread is kinda funny to me in an ironic way, cuz I was rooting for Maidana when he schooled Broner. That buffoon sh!t Broner has been on was completely out of hand. He needed to be humbled. It's like my hopes for that fight were the opposite of the threadstarters in a sense. I can't recall another time that I rooted for a non-black opponent when facing a Black rival, all the while having a racial undertone behind the reason why I'm rooting against one of my own.

it was funny because on some of the other message boards im on (and some posts on here too) there were black people feeling some type of way about broner being beaten and ridiculed and how we (black ppl) should be supporting him regardless...and im like ..do you cats even watch the sport? broner def need to be humbled..i didnt think maidana would have been the one to do it even though i won coli cash on it lol

It's just like if your black you're automatically expected to root for and condone every single thing Floyd does and if you don't your either some cac, hater, or a Manny fan. fukking casuals couldn't name 5 opponents before the Gatti fight, but they gon act like we don't know boxing.

As for Broner, I just didn't like all the racist shyt and beer/garbage throwing dude had to go through after the loss. At the end of the day he showed heart and gave fans an entertaining scrap. He needed to be humbled, but he didn't deserve the Golota treatment after the Tyson fight though.

if you have an ounce of respect for the sport, you felt that way. And the thing is, I actually like Broner as a fighter. There are some things he needs to work on, but what young fighter doesn't? It was antics that just seemed to be too much.
