The 80's was a weird time. The men who dressed up like women, got most of the women. I don't even need to show you what Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five used to wear to get my point across.
Although you could argue there's a correlation between gender, clothing and sexuality...men these days are hyper-masculine in regard to how other men dress because they're insecure about their own masculinity.
