The thing about breaking down college football is that we'd have to Breakdown all of the individual things in cfb that don't make any sense but fans of it are already used to. The playoffs system is just as bad as the bcs system. Recruiting is unfairly lopsided. Schools making billions and players struggling to buy food.

tell me more about recruiting. What are the most fuked up stories?
A bullshyt ranking system to get the best teams they think the country wants to see in the playoffs. Basically the same 10-15 schools compete for this opportunity. The power 5. Acc, sec, B1G, big 12, PAC 12. A school in one of those conferences will win depending on how easy they schedule and who wins their conference championship. Basically it's just to watch future NFL players show what they got. A big lucrative farm system.

Top talent always seems to make to the top(richest) schools. Smaller schools can't afford to compete and go into games and get blown out. They're pretty much buying football players under the disguise of giving them an education whereas smaller schools are fielding a team with guys who are really getting an education.

teams are not supposed to pay recruits, are not supposed to have more than a certain amount of 'official' visits and contact with coaches, things like that
some schools bend the rules
some schools DESTROY THE RULES
Some are FILTHY [like...suitcases full of cash and strippers]
Whats worse is the scholarships these students are year to year...so a coach like Nick Saban can 'over recruit' and convince players to transfer out or take a medical gray shirt [basically retire]....its corrupt.
the same schools you see on those lists...are almost always on the top of those lists...and are almost always in the top 25. the fat stay fat. the skinny starve. UNLESS they get the right coach for a short period of time until a big school cuts a check...
Tom Herman for example was offensive coordinator at ohio state...got a HC job at houston....THEY CRUSH IT THIS YEAR...theres a VERY SMALL CHANCE he stays there because its going to be perpetually difficult for him to our recruit texas, Texas A&M and others at small houston. The bigger schools have more money, better facilities, greater exposure, etc.
That can really sway parity in college football. A team you hear a lot about: OREGON for example.............hasn't even won a national title.......ever...but USC [old money] has like 13.
regarding the worst part of college football...this thing is basically a full time job. practice, workout, eat, film room, etc....ALL while going to college....and they can't have a job...so they end up broke way too often...while the schools are beyond flush....its pretty shameful.
The teams willing to cheat get the best recruits. Hence why Ole Miss is getting top recruits all of a sudden.

The wildest of all time was SMU in the late 70s [eric dikkerson era] literally having a PAYROLL for players under the table. They got the 'death penalty' and couldn't play for an entire season, and effectively two seasons.
They were almost TEXAS status before that and are now like the worst team in football, to this day.
