Things are moving very quickly today. We have confirmed there is a meeting between FSU president John Thrasher and others at FSU with Willie Taggart for later this afternoon. I don't know of the location but doubt it will be in Tallahassee.

The signs are VERY positive with FSU and Taggart right now and the two sides are getting closer to agreeing on terms. If things progress smoothly, there's a decent chance we may get some news within the next 48 hours.

I may be a moot point, but there's been more of a push for FSU to take a harder look Penn State head coach John Franklin. If things break down with Taggart, he would definitely move up FSU's list quickly.

BREAKING: Willie Taggart is flying to east coast today to meet with FSU officials for 1st time. If meet goes well, UO expects him to accept job. This comes from an extremely reliable source (person who tipped me that WT was getting UO job last year that set my Twitter page on fire

Additionally, this morning at 9:17 I received an email tip that FSU would be meeting with Taggart today. I could not confirm the email, and would normally not mention such a thing, though I do trust the source.

Additionally, I had my doubts about it since Justin Hopkins of Scoopduck, whom I have known for a long time via recruiting circles, says that Willie Taggart is supposed to be in Arizona Monday, meeting with QB commit Tyler Shough, and Texas to recruit, before making his way to Florida mid-week. Taggart was supposed to be on a flight around 11 p.m. PT last night. However, then the tweet happened.

Heard they are meeting in Scottsdale, AZ. He's not taking an Oregon donor's jet to Tallahassee.....that's just bad form. Hopefully we come correct on the offer. Can't imagine Willie saying no after reading this....

I just hope the deal goes through, I can't imagine being Willie and having to head back to coach oregon next year...with how all this is going down. I've been on the oregon boards and some are already saying "oh, he wasn't that good anyway, the old coach left players", "we don't need him", "any coach could have gone 7-5" lol..
