I had heard something similar but without the details. That's why the Blackman redshirting decision was so disjointed. Willie had to do an about face and save Blackman shirt to cover his ass in case Sam dipped. I noticed he kept saying "right fit" at the press conference today when talking about the new OC. Maybe that's why its taking so long. He already got burned by straying from his tree. If he hires someone thats not from the tree, he making damn sure he has a better read on the situation than he did with Walt.

Again....just call his own plays. He's not a bad OC. He's just a HC who had a rough year calling plays. It happens to every OC when you're stuck with square pegs mushed into round holes

If Burfict can play in the NFL running a 8.9 40 yard dash, I don't see how Peters couldn't get a real look at LB. ESPECIALLY, with the little giants we had a lb this season.

Talked to Dugans over the phone briefly this afternoon. He said things have been absolutely crazy for him the past 2-3 days. Between Richt retiring and him being let go, his head is spinning.

Obviously FSU would be a place he'd like to be. Right now FSU doesn't have an opening at WR. Dugans didn't deny contact with FSU, but he said a few times that he's been hearing and talking with a handful of programs and he does not have a deal with anyone, at the moment.

Dugans was in Miami, just finishing up a workout when we spoke. I'll update you guys if/when I know more.

he's a good recruiter, but if he wasn't an FSU alum would people want him? I personally think Kelly is a better coach and he has a better resume than Dugans.

I think Kelly did a good job last year. Its not his fault guys like Gavin,Noonie and Campbell cant get right.

I've been thinking a lot about HB, and I honestly think if the defense looks how we looked this year for let's say the first 5-6 games next year, I think he gets replaced mid-season. That's the feeling I have.
