Taggart incredible dawg. Basically a top 10 class after our worst year ever and losing our coach. Plus the 1st ever early signing period.

nikka truly turned water into wine.

A solid season on the field and a whole year on the job our class gonna be sick next year.

Don't let us fukk round and make it in the playoffs. That's when you start getting the groupie recruits like Surtian, Campbell, ect.

Mario didn't do shyt but "hold on" at Oregon. :pachaha:Not a whole lot of new bloods jumped on. My man Willie basically just signed TWO top 15 classes on two different coasts. nikkas about to be in trouble. :demonic:

Edit: :bryan: Oregon down to 17. You had one job Mario...one job. Just hold on.

Damn man..BEAST of a class! Im extremely proud of Coach Tagg and his entire staff! They got all their needs and some most of the wants and he did this in about 6 weeks..sheees! I'm just think about all of the sets we can run this year with the size and speed over the field... the ballers at RB..the experience at QB. Man just get our athletes the ball and get to the bench for the PAT.
Im so turnt by our class I can't even clown the rivals... we on some other shyt man

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
So, I just finished watching the recruiting party video. One of the main themes was that things will be "simple" offensively and defensively. I'm interested in how "simple" ? Too simple is a problem (i.e. Bowden in his latter years). Kelly's defense was basic as shyt. One of the reasons for the all the busted coverages in the secondary, and the historic ass beatings (see UO and UL) is that offenses were able to create obvious mismatches with personnel sets and patterns, and the players would try to compensate for that -- and shyt would go left quickly. Too difficult is a problem (i.e. Jimbo basically every year). You still have to beat defensive coordinators and they catch on quickly unless they're Charles Kelly. There's a sweet spot, a happy medium between the two that I hope we find, quickly.

I'm sure it won't be "draw the route in the dirt" simple. But college football is really simple nowadays. You got teams looking at a picture on the sideline that tells them all they need to know. It can't get any simpler than that. FSU will basically lessen those games where our WR and QB spend 4 possessions trying to figure out if they saw the same read on an option against Duke. Sometimes football only has to be "can you stop us; can we stop you"? Watching some USF footage, if Marlon Mack tore off 15 yards on a play, sometimes they'd use tempo and go right back to the same play until you stop it. That's the "simple" they're talking about.

On defense, it will get as simple as our DBs allow it to be. If they can press and cover, then Harlon will have the front getting busy with exotic stunts and blitzes. If they can't press and cover at elite levels, then the base package that Harlon runs is very good and "simple". MSU defense was really young this year and they're defense was very "simple" with a lot of press coverage and cover 4. All in all, the message I'm getting when I hear "simple" is take the guess work out and let these athletes play ball.

Per a dude that has connections to the tenn area and Jordan Young

First and foremost this pic has been burning in my phone to be posted since Saturday night
2_8119989.jpeg

Now that it’s over I can speak on a few things: JY has only been playing ball for 2 years and played behind 2 1,000 yard receivers as a JR. Coming into his SR year the grades were low so that’s one of the reasons he wasn’t highly recruited (grades are fine now). The first school on him was not Tennessee it was actually South Carolina but they inquired and showed interest but didn’t really pursue. FSU received his mid season tape but Jimbo told Dawsey he already had his WR board and they never got back around to JY. The person who put out the feelers when WT took over was Mario Edwards who called the coaches to inquire if there was interest, that weekend JU took the trip to UT and was offered. The next week FSU got involved and Pimp visited the school and an official for the last weekend was set, then JY surprisingly committed to UT based on them telling him he’d lose his spot but he did like David Johnson. So with UT getting wind of teams coming after JY they started to tighten down on him about talking to other schools and taking visits threatening to pull his offer. UF, UM, and South Carolina requested transcripts and reached out but nothing really shook, UM is the school he cheered for. So FSU’s whole offensive staff was set to visit on the 29th or 30th but JY stopped communicating and shut it down to protect his only solid offer, that Tuesday FSU reached out to the coaches and clarified that JY had a solid offer, that night communication was made with Taggart and the visit was set only Taggart would be the only person available to take the visit. Tagg visited the school then went in home for over 3 hours and not once did they discuss football, JY and his mom loved that, and really liked Taggart, it was a great visit and the official was back on. JY had met Johnson and had a good relationship with him so he really wanted to see what his potential position coach at FSU was like and how they would get along, once I got that info I told the guys if he makes it to campus change your CB’s to FSU. The next day UT came to visit again this time it was Johnson and some recruiting guy, the recruiting guy repeated a few times that UT would have to do what they have to do if JY took the visit. After a great time with Taggart and then UT threatening the feeling began to change as it seemed like UT was trying to strong arm him, so the official to FSU was solidified even more. The Friday morning I got the text that they were enroute and that night I got a couple photos and knew my make believe CB was looking good.

Also Young, Thompson, Harrison and Helton spent time together over the weekend and an instant connection was made

Thoughts on Young
Really good hasn’t even began to scratch the surface of his potential yet. He’s almost 6’3 so not Tate tall. I think all things considered his 4 star ranking is correct based on the grades and production as a JR. However I do believe he’s on of the top 5 WR’s in the nation based on talent.

Walt ain't playing out here.. The cac thots were so mad when they saw this LOL

Coach Tagg getting these brothas better jobs lol

Not only are the cac thots mad, so are the cac men. I was listening to Wakeup Warchant this morning and these clowns brought up Walt's looks as if that means anything. Cac men love to man crush on other cacs. Saw the same shyt happen with Jimmy G with the 49ers. Half the convo about the QB and football team revolves around his looks.:hhh: Not wavy at all.

And my man Willie is truly for the culture. We've had black coaches in Power 5 schools before, but they weren't of "us" (80's and 90's babies). Even though Randy Shannon was around when the U was straight ignorant, he tried to square up when he got the chance to wear the big boy headsets. Meanwhile, Willie standing at the podium telling a room full of old crusty cac boosters he listens to Plies and Lucci. Also on a deeper level, he's empowering so many black men. He got his close up at FSU and brought his crew along. So much so, that inner racism started to bubble in cacs and c00ns by calling his staff a HBCU staff. What these nikkas really aint ready for is when this staff start connecting with these kids on the trail. This nikka about to be the living "FUBU" to these kids. The spring game is gonna be a black oasis. Not only is FSU black alumni reenergized, but I'm hearing the buzz at FAMU is reaching fever pitch too. My squad is so unapologetically black, and I love it.:mjcry:

White people are definitely on some other shyt when it comes to praising another dude's looks. I remember before the advent of social media and camera phones you could be hooking your best friend up with a girl that had never seen him, and she'd inevitably ask, "So, what does he look like :usure:?"

Standard response: I mean, he aight. My nikka ain't ugly now. :yeshrug:

White dudes will be like, "He's so dreamy :wow:."

Yes, it's some weird ass gay man-love going on outchea with these cacs. even after then NSD party these dude have been so giddy about Walt...
"Do you hear what Walt said", "I love his personality and cool look", "look at his hair" :mjlol::scust:

As far as the hiring of the brothas, like I said earlier I applaud Willie for giving these dudes a chance to shine and a chance to be at a prestigious school like FSU. Being proactive and good with your job leads to bigger opportunities sooner than later. I'm glad most ot the brothas married..shyt yall aint in Oregon no more. Yall surrounded by hundreds of FINE ass women from two campuses. The players and coaches MUST remain focused on the tasks at hand :pachaha::mjgrin:.

Willie Taggart is changing some of FSU's recruiting strategies
Expect a few major differences in the way things were done under Jimbo Fisher.

Willie Taggart and his staff did an incredible job of taking over a 64th ranked recruiting class and in just two months making it into a much more respectable 11th place finish. The staff did what they could during the early signing period and then rallied in January to close strong.

With a fresh start in 2019 and a full cycle to recruit, this staff is gunning for the number one class in the country. New leadership at the top means there will be some strategic changes to recruiting.

Here are a few of the differences we’ll see under the Taggart regime:

— In the past FSU Junior Day’s usually attracted about 30-50 prospects to each event while Fisher was in charge. I’m told the goal is to make them smaller and more intimate under Taggart’s watch. FSU will attempt to bring in about 20 priority recruits to each Junior Day with the intentions of spending more quality time with each prospect. This staff wants to make sure nobody gets ignored or lost in the shuffle when they come to campus. Junior Day is usually the first time recruits make it to campus and the FSU staff wants to make sure to give them all a special first impression.

— We’ve said that Taggart's staff is going by the recruiting motto, “If we win Florida, we win”. That also means landing the top prospects in Florida, not just the most prospects in Florida. I’m told that if a full class of 25 is possible then the goal is to sign 18-20 from Florida. Further more, of the top 25 players in the state, FSU wants to sign 15 of those 25. Toward the end of FIsher’s tenure we saw the recruiting efforts shift more nationally. FSU is now looking to turn the focus back to the Sunshine State.

— Summer camps will be a little different as well. Fisher put a real premium on evaluating at these camps and Taggart will too, but he’s tweaking the formula.

I’ve learned that in early June FSU will hold a two day ‘skills camp’ that will be for quarterbacks, receivers and defensive backs. That will be immediately followed up by a one day camp for running backs, linebackers and specialists. Later in the month FSU will hold a two day 7on7 and ‘big man’ camp. Expect it to be bigger than the 7on7 camp that FSU has held in the past where it was primarily local Tallahassee, panhandle and south Georgia teams competing.

In late July Willie Taggart is going to have a ‘Saturday Night Live’ event. He used the same name while he was at USF and Oregon. However, I’m told the plan is to get rid of the camp/workout portion and turn it into more of a cookout, hangout or Junior Day type event. The details are still being worked out, but I also expect former FSU players to be in attendance as well.

The exact dates on these camps will be released soon.

================================

These changes aren’t necessarily meant to be “better” than what was done under Fisher. Fisher found plenty of success on the recruiting trail and there are multiple strategies that can succeed. But each staff has to be true to who they are and the points outlined above show that recruiting will look a little different under Taggart.

Simple is basically making it where the players can understand and do the play. None of this play calling where it's a paragraph long.

It's about letting your talent do the work for you. Just look at dudes scope of work at the schools be was at when the talent was there. Every school looked great. All them doubts you have about the brother will be gone after this season.

I can tell you Pruitt ain't going to have the same season Willie T going to have.

Breh, you’re cool when you wanna be — stop bringing up that Pruitt shyt. We’ve discussed that ad naseum. I don’t have some personal vendetta against Willie, and you know this. I ask questions. It’s what I do.

It is what it is but it sounds like doubt. If you look at his history all your doubt will go away when you see him with talent.

This dude knows what he is up against him and knows what he is doing. Ain't no way our defense going to look remotely like Kelly. You have to really try hard to be that bad.

Offense is going to look like every body else that runs the spread but with a twist.

Where are in a great situation. We would be looking at 8 win seasons is Jimbo stayed and kept Kelly.

fukk Warchant. They always be posting some racist shyt on their site. Bunch of cac losers on there, with a sprinkle of c00ns. You really think I'd pay to be on that bullshyt? Plus Google Newsstand gets the same info just as fast. :mjlol:

These cacs are so obsessed with black people it's pathetic. I'm happy most of the staff is black. You can tell Willie T is a straight Flawrida Boi, that does not have a ounce of c00n in him. He aint trying to talk or act white now that he got a high profile position. Nothing has changed. The black culture is what is going to reach great results. Willie can connect with these kids.

I believe this will be the best era in FSU football. Just expect a lot of hate. It's coming 10 fold when we win.
