I didn't put this in the OP because its more for mods but it should actually have some benefit for all members.

When you have one of your posts or threads moderated (moved, deleted, merged..etc) there is now an option for the staff to send you a message with an explanation. This should help posters with understanding the rules of the forum without us having to take a more official action such as a warning or a ban. This should be especially helpful for new members who might be posting in the wrong forum or something of that nature.

We had a different version awhile ago but weren't very happy with how it worked, so we never made it our official landing page. This one is a lot easier to manage and keep updated.
We've had one for awhile but we kept the forum listing as the landing for the domain because we didn't feel it was good enough
